Tons of new snow.

We got 16" of new snow in the last 24 hours. the ski resorts reported 36" and 7"-10" tonight. The snow in this picture was about ten minutes after shoveled. The forcast is saying we should have at least another 6" on Christmas.

First taste of the homemade brew.

I had my first test taste last night. it was cold,dark, and had a full hoppy taste. i really lucked out on my first batch coming out so well. Im hoping to get another batch going by christmas.

Last night Alta got 6" of new snow. The base so far is about 25". A few more storms and some snow making should do the trick to start this season off right. Altas first day is this weekend so it needes to dump all week. So cross your fingers and prey for snow. :-)

It's cool enough for it, It's about that time of year. Then why am i stuck at home with no snow? Only a bit longer, Alta opens on the 17th.

18+ years of drooling fun.

If there ever was a good cat it was sydney. The jones family was lucky to have her around. Looking back at all the drooling and loose hair it all was so much fun. Its too bad that cat have such short lives. She was one of those cats that you dont mind when she walks on your head when your sleeping, Or jumps at your ankles in the morning. I happy knowing that she is not hurting, and it was her time. We will all miss her.

Pic in REI stores

This is the picture i entered in a contest put on for REI members. I got a call a week later that my photo was liked. A few emails later my photo was moving up the ranks. Just this morning i got a phone call and a email from REI that said this photo was picked to be in there new product catalog. It will be in all the stores across the country. I will be getting a copy soon. Keep a look out and if you see them please let me know.
